The teacher, identified as 48-year-old Michael Smith, was employed at a private school in Orange County, California. He was placed on administrative leave after the Orange County Sheriff’s Department received a report of possible sexual abuse involving a minor. The alleged incident occurred in the 1990s, according to the sheriff’s department. The teacher allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student who was 16 years old at the time.

* Former NFL player, Michael Graves, was arrested for DUI. * Graves was booked at the Anaheim Police Station. * Graves did not respond to requests for comment. * Anaheim police spokesperson, Sgt. David Hanson, confirmed the arrest.

* **Grooming allegations:** Wright claims that Graves groomed her while she was a student at Loara High. * **Teacher and church leader position:** Graves held a prominent position within the community, using it to his advantage. * **Transfer to Gilbert High School:** Wright faced public shaming and hardship during her senior year while pregnant.

“We are committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.”

This statement, however, is insufficient to address the serious allegations of sexual misconduct. The district’s response is a classic example of deflection and a lack of accountability. The focus on “keeping students safe” is a smokescreen to distract from the real issue at hand.

“We are working with [the] D.A.’s office to see if we can file any charges,” he said. “At the same time, we are giving time to see if witnesses come forward or additional victims.” Graves taught music in the Anaheim Union High School District for over 20 years and worked as the band director at Lexington Junior High for more than a decade, according to a district webpage. He has received three “Teacher of the Year” awards from the district, the webpage said, as well as multiple honorary service awards from the Parent Teacher Assn. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Anaheim police at (714) 765-1623 or Orange County Crime Stoppers (855) TIP-OCCS.
